As the first fort to be established in the country, the Fort San Pedro has stood through the test of time, having endured through numerous significant events in history. The devastating October 2013 earthquake is just the latest disaster it had to survive, although the structure sustained extensive damages. In the aftermath of the calamity, efforts are being done to restore this historical landmark to its former glory.
